Katanning Clinic Day

Notes: J.Newbold, the safety officer, and John Griffiths will be explaining the rules etc. for the log snig, long rein, open driver, maiden horse ,novice driver, obstacle course. How to train the horse for these events. Jeanette will be explaining the correct procedure to harness and take a horse into and out a cart. This day is offered to people who find it hard to attend events in Perth due to farming work, work commitment or distance driving. If there are lots of members supporting this event, then there will be a Show held on September inconjunction with the Vintage Machinery Day.

Moondyne Festival

Notes: Bring a clyide for the public to pat, talk all about clydies. This is a good festival to go to. The whole street is closed and filled with lots of interesting things and stalls selling bits and pieces.
Riding for disabled

Notes: The Riding for Disabled would like us to attend their opening day with our beautiful feathered friends. We could do any thing to show what the Clydesdale can do. If anyone is interested in attending please do not hestiate to contact me on my website email.
The date is Sunday 13th from around 11:00 through until 5:00 (Mothers Day) at the State Equestrian Centre. The demonstration could be as you described and we would be looking to do this on the grounds front and centre paddock outside. There will be a huge amount of activities, all horse related so should be a great day.

Breed Halter, ridden and Harness
Ploughing Instruction Day

Notes: Cecil Noakes will be instructing how to use the plough for any one who is very willing to learn, have a try on the plough and see what it is like to farm or till the land in the olden days.
You can bring your own horse and plough (if you have one?) otherwise you are very extremely welcome to use other members horse and plough to learn. Hope to see as many people, clydie and ploughs there.
Non-members are required to pay $11.oo insurance per day and $20.00 fee to attend. Members are free.
Bring your own feeds for yourself and your horse.
