Welcome to the second Newsletter for the 2011 Mirror Worlds.

There are over 100 people now registered to the newsletter and over 57 expressions of interest which is very impressive. Keep spreading the word as we build towards a fantastic event in 2011.

Speaking of spreading the word, the well known secret is out. Our stunning region will no longer be a secret for locals with Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2010 declaring Australia's South West as one of the top ten regions in the world to visit. It was the only region recommended in Australia!

As one of the Top 10 Regions to visit in 2010, Southwest Western Australia "offers variety in spades," Lonely Planet's book says. "Well-heeled Perth weekenders make the three-hour trek from the big city to the gourmet paradise of Margaret River; families hit the Busselton beaches; walkers make for the tracks and trails that join Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin."

Among the book's recommendations are walking at sunrise on the Bibbulmun Track, canoeing under the forest canopy at Nannup, swimming with the dolphins at Bunbury, sampling local produce and climbing Pemberton's magnificent trees.

"While word is out about the southwest," the book says, "distance still dissuades many Aussie east-coasters - take the opportunity to make it here before they do." So if you want to learn more about what to do when you are not sailing check out Australia's South West.

It is also impressive to see the accommodation bookings starting to flow through Stay Now from both overseas and the east coast.  Get in early to avoid disappointment.

Best Wishes
